Our state government should be focused on rising the quality of life for all Marylanders while attempting to lower the cost of living in Maryland. That very balance is the key to Maryland's future prosperity. That's economic state leadership.

"I love that I can reach across the aisle without leaving my own principles behind me. I can get more done for my constituents when we work together."

In these times of hyper partisanship, meeting the opposition in the middle for the purpose of helping your constituents is likely seen by some as a revolutionary act. The perfect should not be the enemy of the good in matters of Maryland public policy. That's efficient state leadership.

Brenda Thiam wants to keep families together by ensuring that retirement in Maryland is an option for most if not all Marylanders again.

Brenda Thiam buys her families groceries. She buys her own prescriptions and plans for her family's budget. Brenda understands that inflation has meant that many families are living paycheck to paycheck now. Brenda has led the efforts in the State House to reduce the tax on gasoline to help working families.
